Myspace FINALLY gives up on Social Networking.

"Myspace is 'So High School'", we've all heard this statement before, but finally Myspace gets the memo! . Recently Myspace or should I say ' My____'has undergone changes in the layout of the website. Its no longer featured at a Social Networking tool but the design suggests its operating as an "Entertainment Network designed to provide you with a array of music genres, celebrities and movies.

This was an extremely smart move considering that considering Myspace has one of the highest ratings for social entertainment to date. Check out the new design and artist search. I can appreciate this.

After all, if something isn't working, don't be afraid to let it go and find something that will work for you.

Because My Black is BEAUTIFUL, Black Girls ROCK!!

Its clearly about time that someone reps for the
colored girls! On November 7th BET will premier, "
Black Girls Rock," celebrating the brilliance of Black women! If I've never been more excited about anything else, then this has to be the 'cherry popper' for me! I mean seriously you guys, we live in this corrupt world full of falsifications of what beauty really is! For example, when you look at music videos, what do you see?? The portrayal of beauty can be summed up quickly: Non-Black women with light skin and supposilly 'exotic features'! How ridiculous is that!?
Just the other day, one of my Black students at the middle school told a peer of hers that she was prettier than her because she was "RedBone". The question is, is her perception solely her fault? No its not! She heard it from the media, and even people closest to her! Not to mention, according to http://www.urbandictionary.com/, the definition of RedBone pertains to someone who is a 'mixed'! Im guessing half of America has been using this term wrong! Lol Anyway, Im excited about this premiere becaue Black women have been ignored and swept under the rug in the media for too long! If nothing else makes me happy, the fact that younger generations of girls will be watching this show, hopefully coming to the realization, that black women ROCK!
We are strong, beautiful women of many hues, hair textures and features. We have the strongest history that shouldn't be forgotten. Combined with any other race, we make the most beautiful children. Black women are the backbone of our families. We are entrepreneurs! I don't know about you guys, but my First Lady, Michelle Obama is a beautiful representation of black beauty too! My BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL!!! I embrace it, what about you??
